PAUL Mc CARTNEY
He was born on June 18, 1942, in Liverool in England.He studied music and art,
and had a happy childhood with one younger brother, Michael. At the age of 14,
he wrote his first song In July 1957 he met John Lennon. He soon became
founding member of The Beatles.
The Beatles contributed to music, films, literature, art, and fashion, made a
continuous impact on entertainment, popular culture and the lifestyle of
several generations. Paul McCartney progressed as a lead vocalist and
multi-instrumentalist, as well as a singer-songwriter. In addition he played
bass guitar, acoustic and electric guitars, piano and keyboards, as well as
over 40 other musical instruments.
He wrote the most popular hits for the Beatles. His songs Yesterday, Let It Be,
Hey Jude, All My Loving, and many others are an expample of that. Yesterday is
considered the most covered song inhistory with over three thousand versions of
it recorded by various artists across the universe.
Paul McCartney the only alive member of this band,
will be presented for the first time in Uruguay on April 15 to open the
South American part of the tour 'On the Run'.
